One person has died after last week's fire at Kronoparken. Prosecutors are now investigating the incident as murder.
The fire broke out on Tuesday at a student residence on Kronoparken in Karlstad. Seven people needed medical care and one was treated in intensive care. That person died the following day.
Police initially investigated it as suspected aggravated arson and detained three people. They have been released but remain suspects at the lowest level. A murder investigation has now begun due to the death.
The cause of the fire remains unknown. The technical examination is ongoing and prosecutor Niclas Wargren says relatives have been notified.
