New York Yankees left-hander Max Fried left Wednesday's game against the Baltimore Orioles after three innings with left elbow posterior soreness. The team announced he will undergo further examination and imaging in New York on Thursday. Fried said he is not overly concerned about a lengthy absence.
Fried threw 61 pitches in the Yankees' 7-0 loss at Camden Yards. He allowed three runs on five hits and one walk before exiting. Manager Aaron Boone noted that Fried had trouble getting loose and reaching his release point during the outing.
