Nick Kyrgios ended his Wimbledon campaign with a first-round doubles defeat and indicated the tournament may mark his final appearance at the All England Club.
Kyrgios partnered Alexander Bublik in the men's doubles and lost 6-3, 6-4 to the sixth seeds Mate Pavic and Marcelo Arevalo on July 1. During the match he exchanged words with chair umpire Manuel Absolu after a service break and said the rules were "so dumb."
After the loss Kyrgios told reporters he was confident it was his last Wimbledon. He added that his body would make it difficult to return and compete at the level expected by fans.
Kyrgios has not announced a full retirement from tennis. His partner Bublik was scheduled to play a second-round singles match the following day.
