Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons unveiled the Prada spring 2027 menswear collection on Sunday, focusing on everyday garments reimagined in new fabrics and colors.
The show took place at the Fondazione Prada showspace in Milan. Designers presented pants based on the classic five-pocket jean template in shades including berry, pink, brown, white, and yellow, along with printed patterns, leather, and sheer nylon organza.
Miuccia Prada said she had never worn jeans before and Raf Simons noted he had recently started wearing them again after about 20 years. The pair described the collection as motivated by a desire for clarity and focus on timeless pieces rather than trends.
Women appeared in the menswear show for the first time since 2019. Accessories included shrunken bags clipped to belt loops with carabiners.
Prada stated that fashion should have meaning and criticized useless design, while Simons emphasized allowing individuals to reinterpret garments on the street.
