Saint Laurent presented its Spring 2027 menswear collection on June 23 in Paris during a record heat wave. Designer Anthony Vaccarello staged the show at the Paris Bourse with a fog installation by artist Fujiko Nakaya. The collection emphasized lightness and subtle details.
The runway featured models walking through clouds of water vapor in the middle of the Paris Bourse. Madonna and Charli XCX attended wearing outfits from an earlier Vaccarello show.
Vaccarello focused on unlined jackets cut narrower and higher along with thin soft fabrics designed to pack without wrinkling. Pale putty and beige suiting created an initial Armani-like impression before details emerged.
Bandana-like silk scarves appeared as tight chokers on shirtless jackets and waistcoats. Some models wore see-through derbies or walked in knitted briefs including one leather pair.
The designer drew from Yves Saint Laurent archives and past house references such as Tina Chow jewelry and Alber Elbaz fabrics. Bright nylon blousons with 1980s shoulder lines paired with high-waisted trousers completed the looks.
