WWE Women's Champion Rhea Ripley discussed her recovery from a torn meniscus during a recent appearance in Las Vegas. The injury occurred in June during the European Summer Tour.
Rhea Ripley tore her meniscus in June on WWE's European Summer Tour. She has been off television for more than a month since her June 5 appearance on SmackDown.
During an interview at Power Slap 21, Ripley said her knee is starting to heal but provided no return timetable. Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that she did not undergo surgery, calling the tear weird rather than severe and noting she cannot bend her knee.
Ripley's most recent match was a house show in Portugal shortly before June 5. Her title reign stands at 85 days, and WWE has adjusted creative plans with SummerSlam approaching.
