The Limoges labor court has upheld the gross misconduct dismissal of Damien Tabard, a driver for Europ Voyages.
The Limoges labor court confirmed on June 6, 2026 the 2022 gross misconduct dismissal of Damien Tabard. The driver had been dropping children off in front of their homes in Les Billanges against his employer’s instructions. Tabard, employed for 17 years, argued at the January 2025 hearing for a “human reading of the rules.” He noted that some children had to walk several hundred meters in the dark on unmarked roads. Europ Voyages accused the employee of insubordination and unauthorized stops. The manager stated that Tabard had insulted him during a reprimand. The court upheld these facts and confirmed the gross misconduct dismissal. Tabard announced he would not appeal the decision.
