A Sonic-themed version of the co-op puzzle game Pico Park was playable at Summer Game Fest 2026. The demo featured coordination challenges with characters including Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy.
The game requires teams of players to solve obstacle courses together using timed jumps, stacking and special abilities. Levels emphasize puzzle solving over speed, though Sonic elements like spin dashes and springs are present. At the event, a journalist played with three strangers and noted initial coordination difficulties that led to chaotic moments. By the end of the session the group had built enough rapport to complete all shown levels. Sonic Pico Park supports up to eight players and is scheduled to release on PC and other platforms. A Sega representative stated that more details about a possible Shadow the Hedgehog inclusion will come in the coming months.
