Serena Williams reunited with Grigor Dimitrov upon arriving at Wimbledon for her singles comeback. The pair shared a hug and conversation ahead of the 2026 Championships.
The official Wimbledon Instagram account posted video of the exchange between the 23-time major champion and the former world number three. Williams and Dimitrov have maintained a friendship that dates back more than a decade.
Rumors of a romantic link between the two surfaced in 2012 after they were seen together in Paris and at the Miami Open, though neither confirmed any relationship. Dimitrov began dating Maria Sharapova the following year.
Williams has continued to support Dimitrov at tournaments, including appearances at the 2024 Miami final and US Open. After a five-set win over Andrey Rublev at the US Open, Dimitrov publicly thanked her for a pre-match pep talk.
At this year's Wimbledon, Williams faces Maya Jibade in the first round while Dimitrov seeks to recover from a pectoral injury that ended his 2025 campaign and from a 2-8 singles record so far in 2026.
