Lucasfilm and Disney's Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu earned 12 million dollars in Thursday night previews ahead of its Memorial Day opening. The Jon Favreau-directed film is tracking toward a 90 million dollar four-day domestic debut at 4,300 theaters.
The PG-13 movie stars Pedro Pascal and features Grogu, also known as Baby Yoda. Previews began at 2 p.m. Thursday and drew a 71 percent definite recommend from early audiences, with 48 percent of attendees over age 35 and 67 percent male. The Rotten Tomatoes audience score stands at 88 percent while critics rate it 61 percent fresh.
