Valve's Steam Deck handheld has seen sales fall sharply since price increases took effect in May. Reports indicate an 82 percent decline in weekly shipments.
The company raised prices on the Steam Deck OLED models by between $240 and $300. The 512GB version increased from $550 to $790, while the 1TB model rose from $650 to $950.
Valve removed all LCD versions from sale at the same time. The firm stated that the adjustments reflected higher component costs and industry-wide logistical issues.
Data from Boiling Steam showed the device falling from fifth to 14th place on Steam Charts in the United States. Estimated weekly sales dropped from between 11,000 and 18,000 units in 2025 to between 1,400 and 3,000 in July 2026.
The decline coincided with the launch of the Steam Machine. Valve has not confirmed the sales figures.
