Danish brand Sunflower presented its Spring 2027 menswear collection at Pitti Uomo in a special collaboration marking the event's 20th anniversary.
The brand was selected to represent Denmark through a partnership between the Italian organizers and Copenhagen Fashion Week. Co-founder Ulrik Pedersen described the opportunity as a chance to showcase national strength, saying, “Of course, we should stand up and show our muscles.”
The show, titled “No Soundtrack,” featured live improvised music by Danish musicians August Rosenbaum and Jakob Littauer. Pedersen, who co-founded Sunflower in 2018 with Alan Blond after establishing NN07 in 2007, emphasized everyday clothing with classic silhouettes updated through distinctive materials and contrasts between casual and tailored pieces.
Italian influences appeared in bright silk shirts and pinstripes, while Danish elements shaped the overall approach. The collection also introduced made-in-Italy cowboy boots as an extension of the brand's leather offerings. Pedersen noted the focused identity behind the designs, stating, “we are not doing clothes for everybody. We have a clear statement of what we are and who we want to be, and then we just go from there.”
