Rapper and producer 50 Cent turned the premiere of his new Starz series Fightland into a concert-like event Tuesday night at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York. The screening drew celebrities and featured surprise performances that continued into an after-party.
50 Cent welcomed attendees and told them the series would feature characters to root for and others to root against. After the screening he took the stage in the Rose Theatre for a performance of his hits, including the Fightland theme song, and closed with Hate It or Love It.
He brought out Sleepy Hallow, Rich the Kid and A Boogie during the set. Notable guests included Sherri Shepherd, Ari Melber, LaLa Anthony, Naturi Naughton-Lewis, Wendell Pierce, London Brown, DJ Envy, Tristan Mack Wilds and Tony Yayo.
The party moved to PH Live for an after-party that included additional performances with Uncle Murda, Tony Yayo and Sleepy Hallow. 50 Cent also paused the music to celebrate the birthday of his publicist Amanda Ruisi, with the crowd joining him to sing In da Club.
