He highlighted his band, the Great American Boxcar Chorus, and his multifaceted role in the music scene. 'I got a lot of irons and a lot of different fires. I play trumpet with a couple of different bands, do that in the studio as well,' Mayse added. He also mentioned a recent songwriting session: 'And yesterday I got together with a couple of friends, and we just spent several hours writing a new song.'

The highlight of the appearance was Mayse's performance of his original song 'Lukewarm Christmas,' which captures the mild winter weather typical of Texas holidays. 'It’s a song about how growing up in Texas, every year it’s warm outside on Christmas Day,' he explained. 'And no matter how cool it gets, and I see that, it may be getting cold next week, but I guarantee you by Christmas time, it’ll be warm outside, and we’ll be in shorts and tank tops.'
