Take-Two Interactive confirmed that a version of Borderlands 4 for the Nintendo Switch 2 is technically possible but not a current priority. The game was expected as a major launch-year release on the new hardware yet development has been paused.
Take-Two chief executive Strauss Zelnick addressed the situation in an interview with Game File. He stated that the company wants to support the Switch 2 yet its main focus stays on Sony and Microsoft platforms. Zelnick added that the pause is not a cancellation and that Gearbox is first resolving player feedback on existing versions of Borderlands 4.
