Take-Two Interactive a confirmé qu'une version de Borderlands 4 pour la Nintendo Switch 2 est techniquement réalisable, mais qu'elle ne constitue pas une priorité actuelle. Le PDG de Take-Two, Strauss Zelnick, a abordé la situation lors d'un entretien avec Game File. Il a déclaré que l'entreprise souhaite soutenir la Switch 2, mais que son attention principale reste portée sur les plateformes de Sony et Microsoft. Zelnick a ajouté que cette pause ne signifie pas une annulation et que Gearbox se concentre d'abord sur les retours des joueurs concernant les versions existantes de Borderlands 4.
