Capcom has revealed plans for a free update to Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflections, featuring extremely powerful Royal Monsters to heighten battle challenges. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto shared the news in a video message, also noting progress on the first paid story DLC that may arrive ahead of schedule.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflections, Capcom's latest turn-based RPG in the Monster Hunter series, launched earlier this month for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC. In a recent video message, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto thanked players for their feedback since release, stating it has left the development team feeling 'encouraged and energised' to deliver more content. The upcoming free update, slated for this summer, introduces Royal Monsters—extremely powerful variants of existing creatures that appear in the field. These foes promise 'even more challenging battles,' but players must first reach Rider level 90 or higher. Tsujimoto advised challengers to 'prepare carefully and use their strongest Monsties and strategies' before engaging. Beyond the free additions, Tsujimoto provided an update on the first paid story expansion, Additional Side Story: Rudy. He confirmed development is 'progressing well,' with the team 'considering a potential earlier release date.' Further details will come later, as Tsujimoto asked players to 'bear with us for just a little longer.' This announcement follows strong player reception, building excitement for Capcom's spin-off series.
