Nioh 3 to receive free update with high-difficulty missions

Producer Kohei Shibata announced a free content update for Nioh 3, set for release on April 27. The patch introduces high-difficulty Battle Scrolls, a new Stone of Penance item, and additional skills. Team Ninja shared the details in an official post.

On April 20, Kohei Shibata, producer for Team Ninja, posted on the developer's site about the upcoming free update for Nioh 3. The game, which launched on February 6 and has sold over one million copies, continues to receive support ahead of its paid season pass DLCs planned for September 2026 and February 2027. Shibata expressed gratitude to players: 'We would first like to express our gratitude to the many players around the world who have taken the time to play Nioh 3 since its release. We are currently hard at work developing future updates and DLC for the game.'
