Colombia’s national football team holds its final training session ahead of the Round of 16 match against Switzerland in Vancouver.
The team led by Néstor Lorenzo arrived in Vancouver on Saturday after a flight of nearly four hours from Kansas City. On Sunday morning it completed a two-hour closed practice at Killarney Park to refine its strategy.
Today Monday the squad holds its final training session open to the international press starting at 9:30 a.m. at the same venue. The coach will hold a press conference at 5:30 p.m. at BC Place.
Colombia already defeated Switzerland 2-0 in the 1994 World Cup in the United States. Forward Jhon Córdoba was left out of the squad due to an adductor injury.
