Cuba holds posthumous tribute to Ramiro Valdés Menéndez

The Cuban government announced that the people will pay posthumous tribute to Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdés Menéndez on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, with ceremonies in Havana and other provinces.

The mortal remains of the combatant were displayed starting at 10:00 a.m. at the headquarters of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces in Havana.

Similar ceremonies were held at 10:00 a.m. in provincial capitals and the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality.

In accordance with his last wish, the remains will be interred on the morning of Thursday, June 25, in a ceremony with military honors at the Las Villas Front Mausoleum in the Ernesto Che Guevara Sculptural Complex in Santa Clara.
