Doosan Enerbility wins $88 million supply order for Qatar power plant

Doosan Enerbility announced on December 15 that it has won a 130 billion-won ($88 million) supply order for a large-scale power plant project in Qatar. Under the deal with Samsung E&A, it will supply 430-megawatt-class steam turbines and generators. This marks the company's second order from Qatar.

Doosan Enerbility, a major South Korean plant builder, announced on December 15, 2025, that it has secured a 130 billion-won ($88 million) supply order from Qatar as part of a large-scale power plant project in the Middle Eastern nation.

Under the agreement with Samsung E&A, Doosan Enerbility will provide 430-megawatt-class steam turbines and generators for the Facility E Independent Water and Power Project. This initiative involves constructing a 2,400-megawatt combined-cycle gas power plant, with Samsung E&A serving as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor.

This is Doosan Enerbility's second order from Qatar, following a 290 billion-won deal obtained in March. The company has been expanding its presence in the Middle East, including recent contracts in Saudi Arabia.

A Doosan Enerbility official stated, "Through consecutive wins in Qatar and expanded supply contracts across the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, we are solidifying our position in the global gas-fired combined-cycle power generation market." The official added, "Based on trust in our products, we will provide solutions optimized for customer needs to further strengthen our competitive edge in securing orders."

The deal underscores growing demand for efficient gas-based power solutions in the region, bolstering Doosan Enerbility's role in international energy infrastructure.
