أصدرت الهيئة الإثيوبية للغذاء والدواء (EFDA) توجيهًا في ديسمبر 2025 يعيد صياغة القواعد الخاصة بأدوية المخدرات والنفسية في النظام الصحي. تتابع اللوائح الجديدة الشحنات من دخولها إلى البلاد وحتى الوصفة الطبية أو التوزيع أو التخزين أو التدمير. وهذا يحل محل نظام يعتمد على بطاقات وصفة مرقمة تسلسليًا بمساءلة أوسع على سلسلة التوريد.
