The Egyptian cabinet, led by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, approved decrees that assign specific duties to four deputy ministers. Samar Mahmoud Abdel Wahed Al-Ahdal will manage economic cooperation with international organisations, negotiate external loans and oversee projects funded by the United Nations Development Programme.

Ambassador Mohamed Abu Bakr Saleh Fattah received responsibility for African affairs. He will coordinate private sector initiatives with national policy and supervise the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development.

In the housing ministry, Walid Abbas Abdel Qawi Othman will oversee investment plans for new urban communities to match Egypt Vision 2030. Ahmed Omran will coordinate water sector agencies and secure funding for rural sanitation and desalination projects.
