Egypt Finance Ministry launches startup initiative for public services

Egypt’s Minister of Finance Ahmed Kouchouk announced a new initiative to work with start-ups on smart solutions for government services during the CAISEC 2026 Conference.

The minister stated that the government is open to innovative ideas and technological solutions to improve performance and ease services for citizens. Kouchouk highlighted plans to use artificial intelligence for simpler tax procedures and to bolster cybersecurity measures. He also noted ongoing work on simplified tax and customs systems suited to the digital economy. A mobile application for real estate tax services is expected to launch in the coming period. The minister described Egypt’s technology sector as the fastest-growing industry over the past five years.
