مصر تؤكد تعاونها مع اليونسكو في إدارة المياه والتكيف مع المناخ

التقى وزير الموارد المائية والري المصري، هاني سويلم، بديركتورة مكتب اليونسكو في القاهرة، نورايا سانز، قبل نهاية فترتها، مؤكداً التزام مصر بالتعاون المستمر مع المنظمة في إدارة المياه والتكيف مع تغير المناخ. أشاد سويلم بدور اليونسكو البناء في دعم مصر والمنطقة في مجالات إدارة المياه والعلوم والثقافة والتنمية المستدامة.

خلال اللقاء، أكد سويلم أهمية تعزيز التعاون بشكل أكبر، خاصة في إدارة الموارد المائية وزيادة المرونة أمام تأثيرات تغير المناخ. غطت المناقشات المبادرات المشتركة ضمن برنامج AWARe، وخاصة مسار "حوار المياه الخضراء". أشاد الوزير بمكتب اليونسكو في القاهرة لإجراء استطلاع إقليمي مرتبط بالمبادرة ودعمه لحدث رفيع المستوى عقد في نوفمبر 2025.
كما سلط الضوء على رعاية اليونسكو لمراكز تدريب إقليمية في المياه، بما في ذلك المركز الأفريقي للمياه والتكيف مع المناخ (PACWA)، وأثنى على برنامج تدريبي لتحليل قرارات مخاطر المناخ عقد في يونيو 2025، يهدف إلى بناء القدرات التقنية في أفريقيا والشرق الأوسط.
أبرز سويلم أهمية برنامج اليونسكو الدولي للهيدرولوجيا كركيزة أساسية للتعاون في البحث العلمي وتبادل المعرفة وبناء القدرات في قطاع المياه. كما شكر اليونسكو على دورها كشريك استراتيجي لأسبوع القاهرة للمياه منذ إطلاقه، مشيراً إلى أن مشاركتها ساهمت في تعزيز مكانته الدولية.
