Five dead and 60 injured in N6 bus crash

A collision between a bus carrying Zimbabwean nationals and a car on the N6 road in the Eastern Cape has resulted in five deaths and 60 injuries. The incident occurred on Sunday night between KuGompo and Stutterheim. Authorities are investigating the cause while urging drivers to follow road rules.

On Sunday night, a bus transporting 60 Zimbabwean nationals toward Stutterheim collided with a car on the N6 road between KuGompo, near former East London, and Stutterheim in the Eastern Cape province. The crash claimed five lives and injured 60 people.

The car, which carried five occupants, became trapped under the bus. Rescue teams employed the jaws of life to extricate the deceased from the wreckage. Police have launched an investigation into the incident's cause.
