A Quaest poll released on Wednesday shows Senator Flávio Bolsonaro’s spontaneous voting intention rising from 14% to 17%. The gap with President Lula narrowed from 8 to 6 percentage points.
Flávio Bolsonaro’s allies viewed the numbers positively. They note that spontaneous polls best measure voter conviction and point to greater consolidation of support for the senator. Voters who left Flávio after the Dark Horse case did not move to other right-wing candidates or to Lula. Allies say these votes went to undecided, blank or null categories, making future recovery easier. The senator from PL’s pre-campaign recorded the result as a sign of progress in spontaneous voting intention measured by Quaest.
