Debbie McWilliams, who cast several James Bond actors over four decades, has said she does not want Jacob Elordi, Callum Turner or Harris Dickinson to play the role.
McWilliams, who worked on the franchise from 1981’s For Your Eyes Only through 2021’s No Time to Die, told The Independent that the next actor should remain unknown to audiences.
She explained that Bond must retain a total enigma and added that the public already knows too much about the three actors whose names have been linked to the part.
McWilliams also stated that the character should stay a man, as written by Ian Fleming, and said she wants someone completely out of the blue.
Amazon confirmed in May that the search for the new actor is underway for the 26th Bond film, directed by Denis Villeneuve with a script by Steven Knight.
