France picks Daft Punk song for World Cup goal music

France has selected Daft Punk’s ‘One More Time’ as its official goal music for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The track played after each of the team’s three goals in a 3-1 opening win over Senegal.

The song, originally released in 2000, sounded over the speakers in New Jersey on June 16. Each of the 48 nations at the tournament in the US, Mexico and Canada submitted its own choice to FIFA.

Other teams have also drawn attention with their selections. Scotland is using The Proclaimers’ ‘I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)’, South Korea chose BLACKPINK’s ‘JUMP’, Australia selected AC/DC’s ‘Thunderstruck’ and Switzerland picked Gala’s ‘Freed From Desire’.

England’s goal music is the 2000 Planet Funk track ‘Chase The Sun’. The song was played four times during England’s 4-2 win over Croatia on June 17.
