He described his stroke as mostly clean but admitted the hole appeared small starting in the first round. “The stroke, my stroke felt clean minus a couple of them, better than bad putting times. It just last week I got a little off in the first round and the hole just looked small, ” he explained. Spieth speculated that a few early makes on Thursday could have changed the tournament's course. Looking ahead, Spieth plans to focus on short-range putting at the RBC Heritage this week to rebuild confidence and chase a victory.
