Jacquet, ranked 147th and returning from elbow surgery, executed a tweener at 3-2 in the first set while Fatić nursed an ankle injury sustained early in the contest. The Bosnian player, ranked 236th, still claimed the opening set before Jacquet fought back with support from the crowd to advance to the third round of qualifying.
