Leksands IF is reportedly close to adding American forward Josh Passolt to its roster ahead of the return to HockeyAllsvenskan. The club is in discussions with the player, who most recently played in Slovakia.
According to reports from Siljan News, Leksands IF is nearing a deal for Passolt. He comes from HK Nitra, where he contributed to the team's league title with 41 points in 54 regular-season games and 14 points in 19 playoff contests.
Passolt previously played in the ICEHL for Pioneers Vorarlberg. Adding him would bring Leksands IF to ten forwards under contract before training camp starts on July 27.
Leksands IF general manager Jesper Ollas described the player as interesting but stopped short of confirming any agreement. He noted that discussions are ongoing.
The team continues to build its squad for the upcoming season in HockeyAllsvenskan.
