Luis Fonsi and Feid's salsa track 'Cambiaré' debuts on Hot Latin Songs

Luis Fonsi and Feid have released a salsa collaboration titled 'Cambiaré,' marking Fonsi's return to Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart after four years. The track debuts at No. 26, driven by radio airplay and streaming. It also enters the Latin Airplay and Tropical Airplay charts.

Luis Fonsi, known for pop hits, and Feid, a rhythmic music artist, have ventured into salsa with their new single 'Cambiaré.' Released on January 21 via Universal Music Latino/UMLE, the song was teased on Fonsi's Instagram account days earlier. It garnered over 800,000 official streams in the U.S. during the tracking week ending January 29.

On Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart, dated February 7, 'Cambiaré' bows at No. 26. This multi-metric ranking blends radio airplay, streaming activity, and digital sales, according to Luminate data. Fonsi's last appearance on the chart was in November 2021 with 'Bésame' featuring Myke Towers, which peaked at No. 32.

The collaboration also impacts radio formats. 'Cambiaré' opens at No. 32 on the Latin Airplay chart with 3.1 million audience impressions in the U.S. during the same tracking period. On the Tropical Airplay chart, it enters at No. 6, giving Feid his first top 10 there and Fonsi his 15th— all from the chart's earlier station-based era before its current genre focus.

This salsa shift contrasts with Fonsi's pop style and Feid's rhythmic focus. For Feid, it follows his December entry 'Monstruo' with Tainy, which peaked at No. 19 on Hot Latin Songs. Earlier, in 2016, Feid explored tropical sounds on 'La Respuesta' featuring percussionist Diego Gale, another Universal Music Latino release.

The debut highlights a fresh stylistic direction for both artists amid their chart histories.
