Miles Russell advanced to the final of the 2026 U.S. Junior Amateur after strong performances in Friday's quarterfinal and semifinal matches at Saucon Valley Country Club.
The 17-year-old, ranked as the top junior amateur in the world, defeated Dylan Boenning 6 and 5 in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals he overcame Tyler Mawhinney 2 and 1 after both players posted low scores, with Russell finishing 14 under par across 30 holes.
Russell, who is committed to play college golf at Florida State, previously qualified for the 2026 U.S. Open alongside Charlie Woods and made the cut to finish tied for 39th at Shinnecock Hills.
He will face Noah Maclauchlan, who advanced by beating Cooper Moore 1 up, in Saturday's championship match.
