Neko Case’s Thelma & Louise musical to debut in London

Neko Case's musical adaptation of the 1991 film Thelma & Louise will premiere this fall at the Young Vic Theatre in London. The production, directed by Trip Cullman, features a book by screenwriter Callie Khouri and music and lyrics by Case. Tickets go on sale next week.

Singer-songwriter Neko Case announced that her long-in-development musical version of Thelma & Louise has secured a premiere date. The show, directed by Trip Cullman, opens on September 3 and runs through October 24 at the Young Vic Theatre in London. Case shared the news on her Substack, noting she will spend much of the summer in London for rehearsals, though she will not perform in the production. She wrote, “I am so proud of everyone and I hope you will join us if you can. Fingers crossed, everybody! Here goes! XO.”
