Serbian president praises China's tech achievements

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic visited a Xiaomi auto factory in Beijing on Tuesday, where he experienced a new electric vehicle and praised China's advances in automation and technology.

Vucic spent about five minutes inside a newly released electric vehicle at Xiaomi's auto factory showroom. He asked the voice assistant for Serbian songs, after which the national anthem Boze pravde played.

He said he had learned a great deal about China's achievements. The place is amazing, with everything automated. Two thousand robots operate everything, producing 1,500 cars in two shifts.

Vucic also spoke at Tsinghua University and visited the Museum of the Communist Party of China. He wrote on social media that China's progress results from knowledge, hard work, education and long-term effort, and invited investment in Serbia.
