The Pittsburgh Steelers completed their mandatory minicamp this week with two major contract extensions. Nick Herbig signed a four-year deal worth $100 million, while Darnell Washington agreed to a four-year contract valued at $42 million.
The signings came as the team wrapped up two weeks of organized team activities. Herbig and Washington join kicker Chris Boswell, who received an extension earlier in the offseason. The Steelers also added depth with one-year deals for tight end Robert Tonyan and linebacker Jamin Davis. Both players participated in tryouts during minicamp. Attention now turns to potential extensions for cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and defensive lineman Keeanu Benton. The team has four more OTA sessions scheduled for June 8-12 before breaking for the summer.
