The Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD DKI Jakarta) reports that dozens of neighborhoods (RT) and several roads remain flooded due to heavy rain since Monday night. The most affected areas are in West and North Jakarta, with water levels between 10 and 60 cm. Authorities are monitoring and working to speed up the drainage.
Flooding in Jakarta, triggered by high-intensity rain since Monday (January 12, 2026) night, continued to recede Tuesday (January 13, 2026) morning, though dozens of neighborhoods and roads remained inundated. According to the Jakarta Provincial BPBD, as of 07:00 WIB, 22 RT were affected, with 9 in West Jakarta (5 in Tegal Alur Kelurahan at 30-35 cm and 4 in Kedoya Selatan at 30 cm) and 13 in North Jakarta (including 3 in Semper Barat at 10-15 cm, 5 in Warakas at 35 cm, and others). Meanwhile, DKI BPBD's Data Center Head Mohamad Yohan reported 28 RT still flooded that morning, including additions in Cilincing Kelurahan (1 RT, 20 cm) and Kebon Bawang (5 RT, 50-60 cm), plus 6 roads with levels of 10-15 cm.
BPBD Executive Head Isnawa Adji stated, "BPBD records 22 RT and five roads currently inundated." Yohan added, "Water levels are currently ranging from 10-60 centimeters," noting the flood had decreased from 63 RT on Monday night at 21:00 WIB. The five to six affected roads include Jl. Kampung Bahari in Tanjung Priok (20 cm), Jl. Gunung Sahari in Pademangan Barat (15 cm), and Jl. RE Martadinata in Ancol.
Hundreds of residents remain evacuated at various sites, such as 207 households (625 people) at Rusun Embrio in Semper Barat and 60 households (120 people) at Masjid Miftahulsalam in Warakas. BPBD has deployed personnel to monitor, coordinate with related agencies for water pumping, and ensure drainage channels function properly. "The inundation is targeted to recede quickly," Isnawa said. However, discrepancies in reports highlight the evolving situation.
