Yonanda Muhammad Taufiq experienced a decline in physical condition on June 15, 2026, and died from cardiac arrest in Baturaja. Novia Rahmadhani Sihotang died in Jakarta, with a total of three fatalities confirmed by June 24, 2026.
Deputy Chairman of Commission I DPR Dave Laksono expressed condolences and urged an evaluation of the Latsarmil implementation. He emphasized that the training should be designed according to participants' physical conditions even though health assessments had been conducted beforehand.
