Addis Ababa has carried out various infrastructure projects to improve residents' living standards and transform the city's appearance.
The city's corridor development project has delivered extensive pedestrian paths, over 100 kilometres of bicycle lanes, more than 70 green parks and over 120 modern public toilets.
Installed smart poles include modern lighting and security cameras. The government has allocated billions of birr to supply basic goods such as wheat, oil and sugar at subsidised prices.
New bus and taxi terminals have been built. Electric vehicle charging stations have been prepared across the city. Previously polluted riverbanks have been converted into public recreation areas.
