Hospital i Ängelholm halverer køen til børns mandeloperationer

Hospitalet i Ängelholm har halveret ventetiden på mandeloperationer til børn ved at uddanne social- og sundhedsassistenter til at assistere ved indgrebene. Overlæge Madeleine kalder initiativet et 'glædesprojekt'. Mere end 200 børn er indtil videre blevet opereret.

Hospitalet i Ängelholm har halveret køen til mandeloperationer for børn. Dette er resultatet af en ny tilgang, hvor social- og sundhedsassistenter trænes i at assistere kirurger under indgrebene, rapporterer P4 Malmöhus fra Sveriges Radio.

Initiativet har hidtil gjort det muligt for over 200 børn at få foretaget deres operation hurtigere. Overlæge Madeleine udtrykker stor tilfredshed: "Et stort kompetenceløft for social- og sundhedsassistenterne og meget glæde for børnene. Et glædesprojekt, ganske enkelt."

Fagforeningen Vårdförbundet har kritiseret tiltaget med argumentet om, at det sænker kompetencekravene i sundhedsvæsenet. Hospitalet fastholder, at patientsikkerheden ikke er blevet påvirket.
