Dette er resultatet av en ny arbeidsmetode der helsefagarbeidere trenes opp til å assistere kirurger under operasjonene, melder P4 Malmöhus på Sveriges Radio. Initiativet har så langt gjort det mulig for over 200 barn å få operasjon raskere. Overlege Madeleine uttrykker tilfredshet: «Et stort kompetanseløft for helsefagarbeiderne og mye glede for barna. Et gledesprosjekt, rett og slett.» Fagforeningen Vårdförbundet har kritisert tiltaket og argumenterer for at det senker kompetansekravene i helsevesenet. Sykehuset fastholder at pasientsikkerheten ikke har blitt påvirket.
