Lionel Scaloni’s squad finished its final training session in Miami before flying to Atlanta, where it will face Egypt on Tuesday in the round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup.
The Argentina national team held its final closed-door training session at Inter Miami’s Florida Blue facility on Sunday. An electrical storm forced the session indoors to the gym.
The squad will fly to Atlanta on Sunday afternoon to prepare for the match scheduled for Tuesday, July 7 at 13:00 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The winner advances to the quarter-finals.
Scaloni still has three selection doubts: in defense, where Facundo Medina has physical complaints; in midfield, where Alexis Mac Allister and Thiago Almada compete for a spot; and alongside Lionel Messi in attack, between Lautaro Martínez and Julián Álvarez.
Several players finished with physical issues after the 3-2 win over Cape Verde in the round of 32, including Medina, Enzo Fernández and Nicolás González.
