Artisans de Genève unveils kraft signature watch customization

Artisans de Genève has completed a personalized Rolex Cosmograph Daytona for Alexander Kraft. The project blends vintage elements with modern materials to reflect three decades of watch collecting.

Alexander Kraft, director of Sotheby’s International Realty France – Monaco and founder of Alexander Kraft Monte Carlo, commissioned the customization of his Rolex Cosmograph Daytona reference 116500. Artisans de Genève downsized the case to 37 millimeters in Grade 5 titanium and converted the automatic caliber 4130R into a manual-winding movement with a 72-hour power reserve. A sapphire case back allows viewing of the reworked movement. The dial features a caramel-orange tone achieved through natural oxidation on a tropical island over six months, paired with black and red printing on an off-white background. A copper bezel with a darker brown tachymeter insert and a titanium riveted bracelet complete the design, evoking the look of vintage steel watches from Kraft’s collection. The watch draws inspiration from the cognac leather interiors of classic cars such as Kraft’s Ferrari 550 Maranello. Artisans de Genève operates as an independent workshop that performs customizations at client request and is not affiliated with Rolex.
