Patek Philippe unveiled its new Celestial reference 6105G-001 at Watches and Wonders 2026, adding sunrise and sunset indications to the astronomical watch line. It combines civil time, lunar phases, and solar cycle displays in a 47mm white gold case.

Patek Philippe introduced the ref. 6105G-001 Celestial Sunrise And Sunset, expanding its Celestial collection first launched in 2002. The watch displays sunrise and sunset times for Geneva via an annual cam system with patented rack-and-gear hands on the date scale. A rotating sapphire sky chart simulates sidereal movement, overlaid with lunar disks and moon phases accurate for millennia, framed by an ellipse marking Geneva's visible sky portion from that latitude. The brand noted the development required over five years and six patents, covering the solar displays, daylight-saving adjustments, and mechanical integrations like a bayonet crown and stem re-centering system. Pushers at 9 and 10 o'clock enable one-hour advances or retardations for summer and winter time, adjusting civil time, date, and solar scales without affecting astronomical functions. The self-winding caliber 240 C LU CL LCSO, measuring 38mm by 7.93mm with 426 components, powers all indications at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers 38 to 48 hours of reserve via a 22K gold mini-rotor. Housed in a 47mm 18K white gold case with an engraved X-motif and integrated black composite strap, the watch achieves 30 meters of water resistance.
