Beboere i Avesta rådes til at koge postevandet

De lokale myndigheder i Avesta anbefaler, at beboerne koger vandet til drikke og madlavning som en sikkerhedsforanstaltning.

Rådet gælder beboere i det centrale Avesta og Skogsbo. Det gælder som minimum indtil mandag.

Anbefalingen blev udstedt torsdag grundet bekymring for, at grundvand kan være trængt ind i systemet under vedligeholdelsesarbejde. Der er ingen tegn på, at vandet ikke er sikkert.

Der er indsamlet prøver, men resultaterne afventes stadig. Byen har omkring 16.000 indbyggere.
