Tidlig sæson for havlys observeret langs vestkysten

Havlys har vist sig usædvanligt tidligt i år langs Bohus-kysten. Der er indløbet rapporter om orange algeopblomstringer fra flere steder.

Mellem Mollösund og Grundsund har Länsstyrelsen i Västra Götaland modtaget adskillige rapporter om tætte algeopblomstringer i løbet af weekenden. Vandet ud for Orust og Skaftö er blevet orange.

Andreas Ljung, marinbiolog ved Kristineberg Marine Research Station i Fiskebäckskil, undersøgte selv fænomenet. Han fyldte en skål med havvand og testede det i et mørkt rum.

– Det er så utroligt sejt! Virkelig magisk!, siger han.

Vandet var rødt dagen før testen, men har siden flyttet sig med strømmen. Ljung sammenligner sæsonen med den, der fandt sted i 2024.
