Svensk myndighed opfordrer: flyt ikke østers i Bohuslän

Jordbruksverket opfordrer offentligheden til ikke at flytte østers eller smide rester i havet, efter at en parasit er blevet fundet på vestkysten.

Parasitten, der forårsager bonamiose hos østers, blev opdaget i november 2025. Opdagelsen førte til restriktioner i Bohuslän.

Myndigheden understreger, at parasitten er harmløs for mennesker. Det er derfor sikkert at bade, fiske og spise østers som sædvanlig.

– Vi har ikke set nogen øget dødelighed i østersbestandene, men det betyder ikke, at der ikke er nogen risiko, siger Emma Johansson, embedsmand for smittebeskyttelse hos Jordbruksverket.

Det er første gang, parasitten er blevet opdaget i Sverige. Jordbruksverket planlægger ikke at udrydde infektionen på grund af høje omkostninger.
