Jordbruksverket vädjar: flytta inte ostron i Bohuslän

Jordbruksverket uppmanar allmänheten att inte flytta ostron eller slänga rester i havet efter att en parasit upptäckts på västkusten.

Parasiten som orsakar bonamios hos ostron upptäcktes i november 2025. Upptäckten ledde till restriktioner i Bohuslän.

Myndigheten betonar att parasiten är ofarlig för människor. Det går därför bra att bada, fiska och äta ostron som vanligt.

– Vi inte har sett någon ökad dödlighet hos ostronsbestånden, men det betyder inte att det inte finns en risk, säger Emma Johansson, smittskyddshandläggare på Jordbruksverket.

Det är första gången parasiten upptäcks i Sverige. Jordbruksverket planerar inte att utrota smittan på grund av höga kostnader.
