Supporters of Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) sang a jingle criticizing the centrão at an event in Natal (RN) on Saturday (21). The senator's team repudiated the lyrics on Monday (23), stating they did not receive prior approval and disrespect important parties. The incident unfolds amid 'Zero Um's' pre-campaign for the 2026 presidency.
On Saturday (21), Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), pre-candidate for president, attended an event in Natal (RN) alongside Senator Rogério Marinho (PL-RN), marking the start of his Northeast pre-campaign. Supporters sang a jingle with the verse: “Agora o Brasil é Flávio, e Flávio é Bolsonaro. The lyrics also criticize the 'terceira via sequelado' and emphasize polarization with Lula (PT). VEJA's report received no response from the team at the time. The note highlighted the large crowd and support from RN leaders. Flávio seeks backing from centrão parties like União Brasil, PP, and Republicanos, after being selected by Jair Bolsonaro last December instead of Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicanos). Recent polls show him tying or leading Lula in second-round simulations. On the same day (23), Ratinho Junior (PSD) announced he will not run for president.
